September 2002 Details: First final release of the 2.5 generation. How to update your HanengCharts to the latest version Updating your charts is very easy. Just follow these easy steps: Step 1: Download the latest version of HanengCharts Step 2: Unzip the downloaded file using a utility like WinZip Step 3: Replace all your HanengCharts3.jar files on your web server(s) with the one that you extracted from the zip file. Step 4: Restart your browser (some times you need to restart your machine) to refresh your browser's applet cache. There is no need to restart the web server. The newest version of HanengCharts is now installed. How to check what version you are using The first thing you should try to check the version you are using is to right click inside the chart (control + click on Mac). If the version is 3.0 or above you should see a menu. If you see the menu: Click on the "Check for Updates" item and you will see a page with the version information. The page will also indicate if this is the latest version. If you don't see the menu: You need to take a look in your browser's Java Console. For Internet Explorer do the following: Step 1: Go to a page on your website that uses HanengCharts. This will write the HanengCharts version in use to the Java Console. Step 2: Go to the menu and choose: View -> Java Console. If you see this option please go to step 4, if not go to step 3. Step 3: If you don't see the "View -> Java Console" option on your browsers menu you need to enable the Java Console. To do so go to Tools -> Internet Options. Go to the "Advanced" tab and scroll down until you see "Java console enabled". Tick the check box next to this option, restart your browser and go to step 1.
